Follow @SOCGEMSSOCGEMS was founded in 1962 and is a nonprofit educational community resource dedicated to the appreciation of gem stones, rocks and minerals, fossils, and all facets of earth science. The Club participates in educational programs, field trips, the collection and identification of minerals and fossils, and the cutting and polishing of gem stones and other lapidary related activities.
Our purpose is to acquire and share knowledge of lapidary skills, gem and fossil identification and classification, geology, rocks, minerals and their application to the arts, including jewelry design and specimen preparation and display.
Meetings are open to the public and all are welcome! Free refreshments are served and a raffle is held. Join us for the fun and bring a friend!
Our Society meets on the third Wednesday of each month, (except December), at 7:30 PM in the San Clemente Community Center, Multipurpose Room, 100 North Calle Seville in downtown San Clemente ,CA near the library. The public is always welcome.

$15.00 per person
$25.00 per couple
$25.00 per family
Dues for the following year are payable on October 1st of the current year.
New Members:
Membership application is available at the club meetings. Additional one time initiation fee of $7.00 for badge and membership package. Cost is $5.00 for additional badges. Kids 12 and under are free and free badge, kids 13 and older pay additional $3.00 per child (for insurance) + $5 per name badge. (download a copy of the Membership Application Form or obtain a hard copy at the general meeting).
